The Washington Capitals were in Glendale Arizona on Valentine’s Day and so was I. The biggest disappointment was that I spent 11 hours in a car driving from San Diego, CA to watch them lose, but it’s a nice drive and I’m okay with that. I was hoping to see Paul Bissonnette go with John Erskine, but all we got were a few words exchanged before @BizNasty2point0 ran out of his two minutes of ice time.
The fans at Jobing.com Arena had some interesting signs, as you’ll see in the photos, but they don’t come close to topping what I saw at Staples Center last year. I wonder if I got any photos of them. Someday, I should put together a gallery of fan signage.
Notice that I’m not really saying much about the game? They lost. Ovechkin is still chasing…something. The usual suspects had a bit to say at Japer’s Rink, Russian Machine, Kings of Leonsis, and we’ve got the Capitals Outsider box score going for us, which is nice.
